Privacy Policy for Hidden App Detector
Last Updated: March 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Hidden App Detector ("we," "our," or "us") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure user experience.
1. Information Collection and Use
We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, contacts, or location. All scanning and detection processes are performed locally on your device.
2. Sensitive Permissions (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES)
To provide the core functionality of detecting hidden, malicious, or system applications that are not visible in the app drawer, our app requires the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission.
- Purpose: This permission allows the app to scan the list of all installed packages to identify potential security threats or hidden apps.
- Privacy Assurance: The list of installed applications is processed strictly on your device. We do NOT upload, share, or store this data on any external servers or with any third parties.
3. Advertising and Third-Party SDKs
Our app uses third-party advertising SDKs to show advertisements. These providers may collect pseudonymous identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) to provide personalized ads and analytics.
- Google AdMob: Used for monetization and ad delivery.
- Facebook (Meta Audience Network): Used for personalized ad experiences.
- AppLovin: Used for ad mediation and serving relevant ads.
These third parties may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your interests.
4. Other Permissions
- REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES: Used only when the user explicitly chooses to uninstall a detected suspicious application.
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required for loading advertisements and basic crash reporting.
5. Data Security
We prioritize your device's security. All scanning is performed offline. Your app list never leaves your device.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
